Expo Oregon

Newsflash update:
Expo day at Creve Coeur Camera in St. Louis, Missouri, USA, is over now. To keep up to date on news from CCC, go to www.cccamera.com and sign up for the digiknow newsletter.

I should have posted that sale notice weeks ago, but as luck would have it I have been busy traveling. Most recently I visited Oregon, an incredibly beautiful state. The first thing I noticed when planning my trip was that there were three types of flights out of St. Louis via Southwest Airlines. Six hours, 7 hours, and 9 hours. I chose the 7 hour flight for two reasons: 1. I didn't like the idea of leaving at 6 am, because that means getting up at 4 am to get to the airport on time. and 2. I'd rather have a stay over in Phoenix Arizona than in Dallas, Detroit, or Chicago. This is an important concept that seems to escape some of the long time travelers who never bother to look out the window. WOW there has got to be fewer greater shows to see from the air than flying over the Grand Canyon and mountain ranges.

Tips: 1. Don't forget your image stabilized lens for air photos, 2. bring your polarizer to cut down glare on the window, and 3. Think about which direction the jet will fly and which side of the plane will offer the best view.

Here are a few of my favorites from my trip. I hope you enjoy them.
